Tinea

Attested:  Tinea at position 258 in the Ravenna Cosmography

Where:  Spurn Head, TA397105, across the mouth of the Humber estuary, located by its position in the Cosmography's sequence of harbour estuaries.

Name origin:  Latin tinea ‘gnawing worm’, named for its shape.
