Where:  Tadcaster Roman small town on the river Wharfe at SE486429.

Name Origin:  Latin calcaria ‘lime kiln’.

Notes:  Relatively little Roman evidence has been found at Tadcaster, but there was a fort just 4 km upriver at Newton Kyme
